Simone LeAmon is a Melbourne based designer working across multiple disciplines from jewellery to interiors. Many years of her practice are unified with an identity underpinned by Simone’s own expressive signature.
Realised as a dynamic brush stroke, the signature is fragmented to create multiple readings – echoing the diverse output of Simone’s practice. Postcards and business cards in classic black create a lasting impression.
Envelope’s flexible marketing and submission templates deliver Simone complete autonomy over the production of her documentation.
A commission to develop interiors for elevator cabins at St James Place, 555 Bourke Street, Melbourne leads to a brief for Envelope to create concrete poetry. Simone’s words are translated into dynamic typographic compositions realised as animated feature walls in six elevator cabins.
Simone invited Envelope to design the signage for her Design in everyday life installation as part of the NGV’s 2013 exhibition Melbourne Now. Our bespoke solution utilises the same wooden dowel poles employed in Simone’s dynamic feature wall to form a uniquely hand crafted typographic design.
