ACIL ALLEN Brand identity

Formed by the merger of two leading firms, ACIL ALLEN Consulting is the largest Australian owned, independent, economic, policy and public affairs management consulting firm in Australia. Envelope's brand identity harnesses symbols of change to engage a broad public and private sector audience. 

Approach
 

Detailed internal and external research distills the brand essence for the newly merged organisation. Endorsed by the board, ACIL ALLEN’s brand strategy informs the creative brief to deliver a fresh presence in a traditionally conservative landscape.

Bespoke typography based on a modernist classic is combined with two deltas – the mathematical symbol for change. These form the basis of a new graphic language — with infinite executions — to be used across all communications.

The contemporary colour palette is designed to be noticed in the traditionally blue and grey landscape of their marketplace.

Complex reports — the mainstay workhorse of ACIL ALLEN’s output — are produced using a sophisticated Microsoft Word template with more than 100 automated functions. The design facilitates rapid execution by ACIL ALLEN’s own consultants but more importantly, easy consumption by their target audience of government ministers, policy advisors and management boards.
